Jade Quinn is a Digital Media Specialist at Union Rescue Mission, as well as a published poet, filmmaker, and multimedia artist. She has a passion for serving communities on the margins of society—homeless, incarcerated, special needs, at-risk youth, and more. Her experience spans digital marketing, social services, education, and the arts. Jade holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Literature from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. In 2016, she was awarded the Amiri Baraka Award from her alma mater for her work in marginalized communities. After teaching at-risk and special needs youth for two years, she transitioned to working in social service organizations, including assisting the Skid Row community in developing job skills, pursuing higher education, and securing employment. In addition, Jade has worked in digital marketing for over five years, with expertise in email campaigns, social media, copywriting, blogging, and more. Her debut short film, Please Open A Door for Me, will be release in 2019.
